Hi! 

 It's never too late to get fit and healthy.  I've always been a fairly active person, but I'm ready to take my fitness and nutrition to a new level.  Starting this venture at age 36, I am aware of the good and bad things I've done to my body, and I'm hoping to do more good than bad from this point forward!  Hoping to inspire, encourage, and take others along for my journey to a healthier and fitter lifestyle, no matter what your age! This blog started out being called Healthy and Fit at 36 . . . but obviously I won't be this age forever!  So, in an effort to make it applicable to all, and myself as I have another birthday, I have changed the name to Healthy and Fit at Any Age (http://healthynfitatanyage.blogspot.com).  You can also follow me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/healthyandfitatanyage

I am a busy wife, mom to 3, work outside the home in accounting part time, and run a part time photography business as well . . . so I understand the challenge of fitting healthy choices into your already overwhelmed and busy life.  If I can do it, you can too!  I hope others will join me and learn along with me how to be healthier in a fast paced and unhealthy world!  

Striving to become more healthy and fit has also made everyday fashion more fun . . . I enjoy wearing my clothes more when I have a few less inches on me and I feel more confident in them.   I'm certainly no fashion model, but you can see what clothes look like on a normal, everyday gal like myself!  I will share some of my everyday clothes styles, as well as what I enjoy dressing my children in on the Fashion page.  (I believe I have a little fashionista on my hands with my daughter! She loves when I go shopping for clothes for her as much as I do!)  I also like wearing functional, comfortable, & stylish clothes and fitness gear when exercising, so I will share some of my favorites on the Fitness Finds page.

Keeping my body and mind fit are both important.  How do I keep my mind fit?  For me, I am a Christian and spending time in God's Word regularly helps me to remember that although I enjoy exercise, eating healthy, clothes, and  fashion - the most important thing to clothe myself in is love, trust, and confidence in my relationship with Jesus.  I'm not perfect and struggle with my own body confidence issues. So, the things I share here about myself requires transparency and openness.  I constantly remind myself of one of God's promises:

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.  How precious to me are your thoughts, God!  How vast is the sum of them!  were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand-when I awake, I am still with you." - Psalm 139:13-18 (ESV)
